Kickoff to Christmas returns Dec. 1 to Historic Town Square, hosted by Cat Country 107.3 94.9 FM and City of St. George

ST. GEORGE — Get into the holiday spirit with the annual Kickoff to Christmas, presented by the City of St. George in partnership with Cat Country 107.3 94.9 FM. This beloved holiday tradition offers a festive evening for families to enjoy.

“This event is one of our favorite ways to start the holiday season,” said Emerson Watanabe, Recreation Manager for the City of St. George. “Our Parks employees work hard to create Christmas magic for the community to come out and enjoy.”

The Kickoff to Christmas will be held December 1 at 6 p.m. in Historic Town Square. Like last year, the evening will begin with a countdown to light up Town Square, followed by choir performances from local youth and a visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, who will be available for photos. The St. George Carousel and St. George Children’s Museum will extend their hours until 8 p.m.

While the event itself is free, regular fees still apply to the Carousel and Children’s Museum.

“We love seeing Historic Town Square lit up and filled with smiling faces,” added Watanabe. “From watching the lights turn on for the first time to visits from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, this event is all about celebrating the joy this time of year brings to our community.”

Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, provided by Hedgehog Electric, will be available while supplies last. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full slate of festivities. Parking is available in the new City Hall parking garage, located immediately west of City Hall (61 S. Main Street).
