The Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial (TIE) Center is the nexus for all programs and departments related to innovation and entrepreneurship. The TIE center was created to foster a spirit of entrepreneurialism at Utah Tech. This is accomplished by providing the education, guidance, and support systems to nurture ideas into companies.
BioUtah
BioUtah is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(6) trade association serving the life sciences community in the state of Utah. We are comprised of manufacturers and developers of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and biotechnology products as well as government, academic and health care institutions all focused on improving health and wellness through the delivery of innovative technologies and services. We also count among our members those who support our industry such as national trade associations and key service providers. Together we create a community that fosters collaboration, promotes innovation, and accelerates health care advances to save lives and improve the quality of life.
Economic Development Corporation of Utah
Since 1987, EDCUtah has worked with state and local government and private industry to attract and grow competitive, high-value companies and spur the expansion of local Utah businesses. EDCUtah is a private nonprofit organization.
Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development
The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development’s (GOED) mission is to provide rich business resources for the creation, growth and recruitment of companies to Utah and to increase tourism and film production in the state. This is accomplished through the administration of programs that are based around industries or “economic clusters” that demonstrate the best potential for development.
Impact Utah
The iMpact Utah team offers full-service consulting and training for clients at all organizational levels. They engage directly with management and staff to address both the human and technical elements necessary to support an organizational transformation and help companies make sustainable performance improvements.
U.S. Small Business Administration
The U.S. Small Business Administration helps individuals start, build, and grow businesses. The SBA was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.
St. George Area Economic Development
St. George Area Economic Development is a collaborative organization led by business and community leaders to strengthen and develop Southern Utah’s economy. Our objective is to be a catalyst for prosperity that is robust, sustainable, and in tune with the spirited cultural environment of Southern Utah.
Silicon Slopes St. George Chapter
Silicon Slopes is the voice, hub, and heart of Utah’s startup and tech community. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization empowering Utah’s startup and tech community to learn, connect, and serve in an effort to make entrepreneurship and opportunity in Silicon Slopes open and accessible to all. Spanning from Logan to St. George, Silicon Slopes is a state-wide organization and the official moniker of Utah’s startup and tech community. Thanks to the Silicon Slopes community, Utah is a vibrant, diverse, global innovation hub with some of the greatest entrepreneurs and companies in the world.
Utah Association of Chambers
The Utah Association of Chambers serves as a coordinating entity for chambers of commerce throughout Utah. It connects Utah’s family of chambers into a “chamber of chambers” that promotes Utah’s business climate by sharing information and collaborating on business events, training and advocacy. The membership includes the broad array of chambers throughout the state, including statewide, regional, community and ethnic chambers of commerce. Each entity maintains its own identity, finances and services to members, but shares resources, information and best practices to help achieve the common goal of a more prosperous Utah.
Department of Workforce Services
Utah became the first state in the nation to consolidate employment and public assistance programs by creating Utah Department of Workforce Services in 1997. Today, more than 2,200 Workforce Services employees assist individuals in preparing for and finding jobs, meeting workforce needs of Utah businesses, administering temporary assistance, and providing economic data and analysis.

Utah Industry Resource Alliance
The Utah Industry Resource Alliance (UIRA) is a vital economic development organization chartered specifically to help Utah manufacturers industry and all rural Utah businesses. The UIRA provides services and outreach to all 29 Utah counties and focuses on improving the bottom line through concepts like Process Improvement & Operational Efficiencies, Supply Chain Optimization, and Quality Systems and Certifications, while growing the entire company through the adoption of new technologies, workforce development, strategic planning and expanded markets.

The Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) is a state corporation directed to maximize the long-term economic and other benefits of a robust logistics system while still maintaining a high quality of life. We are a forward-thinking agency aiming to channel logistics in a way that benefits all of Utah by ensuring a safe, smart, and sustainable system statewide.
America's SBDC Utah
The Utah Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) provide trainings, tools, and access to consultants to help business owners succeed in starting, growing and transitioning their businesses through free, confidential consultations and low-cost trainings.
STEM Action Center Utah
The STEM Action Center is Utah’s partner in promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education through the identification and support of best practices and leveraging of resources across education, industry, government and community partners to support economic prosperity.
Utah Department of Agriculture and Food
For nearly two decades, Utah’s Own, a program run by the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, has connected consumers with Utah famers, ranchers, artisans and more, helping them to discover and support the best of what our backyard has to offer.
Women's Leadership Institute
We are a business-led not-for-profit and engage Utah business leaders to help them elevate the stature of women in business and board rooms through our annual ElevateHER™ Challenge, Political Development Series, and Career Development Series.
Women's Business Center of Utah
The mission of Women’s Business Center of Utah (WBCUtah) is to help Utah women build confidence, create opportunities, and experience success in business ownership. We have two offices; one in Salt Lake City and the other in Cedar City, and a dozen virtual centers. Chambers of commerce throughout Utah have partnered with us to create a network of Virtual WBCs. On each chamber’s Virtual WBC webpage you will find local resources for their women entrepreneurs and online training powered by WBCUtah.
World Trade Center Utah
As the statewide voice of international business, WTC Utah facilitates economic growth through increased exports and international awareness for Utah’s companies.
U.S. Economic Development Administration
The US Economic Development Administration provides the University Center Grant Program that works to improve the economies and economic development capacity of areas they serve. The creation of the Southern Utah Entrepreneurship Hub and the partnership between Southern Utah University and Dixie State University’s Business Resource Centers was made possible through the US EDA University Center Grant Program.

The Utah Manufacturers Association is a trade association that represents the manufacturing industry in the state of Utah. UMA provides information, as well as access to key issues affecting Utah Manufacturers. They work to advance policies that will help manufacturing businesses thrive.
Service Corp of Retired Executives
SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteers with expertise as business mentors. SCORE is dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through entrepreneurial education and mentorship.
Procurement Technical Assistance Centers
PTAC is a nationwide network that helps guide businesses through the world of government contracting. PTAC was established to increase the number of businesses capable of participating in government contracts through one-on-one counseling, educational events, and networking, PTAC experts help companies from all industries and skill levels identify, compete for, and win federal, state, and local government contracts.
