Initiatives & Committees
Sunshiners
The Sunshiners are goodwill ambassadors who play a vital role in the Chamber’s membership outreach and retention efforts. Their mission is to promote the Chamber by encouraging businesses in the St. George area to join, welcoming new members, and disseminating information about the Chamber’s activities and benefits.
Young Professionals
The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals foster personal, civic, and professional development in young professionals in the St. George Area. The Young Professionals are responsible for providing meaningful programing, mentoring, education and networking for 18-40 year-olds.
Public Policy
The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce exists for the benefit of each member and the overall business community. The Staff, Public Policy Committee and Boards determine policies and plans of action aimed at maintaining and developing a community in which business can thrive.
Events Committee
The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce events committee is responsible for advising on and supporting the chamber’s major annual events. This committee helps with both idea generation and serves as a feedback source for chamber staff. This committee supports the execution of the following keystone events: Foundation Gala & Business Awards, Foundation Element Awards, Chamber Golf Classic, RISE Business Summit, and Women’s Open.
Business Resources & Membership Committee
The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce Business Resources and Membership Committee is responsible for connecting current and prospective Chamber members with programming and benefits provided by the Chamber and it’s partners. This committee focuses on supporting our members by helping them connect to resources.
Women's Initiative Committee
The Chamber Women’s Initiative Committee is rooted in strong collaborations and partnerships with organizations like the Women’s Leadership Institute, the Women’s Business Center of Utah, and GolfHER. This committee focuses on elevating women by offering women’s leadership and business training, women in business recognition, encouraging women to learn to golf, and community engagement.
Marketing Committee
The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee is dedicated to strengthening the Chamber’s presence and impact through strategic branding and marketing initiatives. This dynamic group works collaboratively to enhance the Chamber’s visibility, refine its messaging, and create compelling campaigns that showcase the value of Chamber membership and engagement.
Tourism Committee
The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee is committed to championing and supporting our members in the hospitality industry while promoting our market as a premier destination. This dedicated group works to strengthen connections among hotels, restaurants, attractions, and tourism-related businesses, fostering collaboration that enhances the visitor experience throughout Washington County.
Chamber Serves Committee
The Chamber Serves Committee connects Chamber members with organized, impactful service opportunities that strengthen and safeguard our community. We partner with trusted local organizations to empower members to give time, talent, or resources in meaningful, human-centered ways. We believe a community reveals its moral character in how it treats its most vulnerable, and that serving one another strengthens the bonds that help people and businesses thrive together.
