Women’s Initiative Committee

In partnering with allied organizations, we offer training and mentorship to help women as they pursue leadership opportunities in both business and in the community.

The Women’s Initiative also recognizes and honors women who are doing amazing things through the Annual Element Awards, the first of which took place earlier in 2021. The Element Awards is the first women’s recognition event of its size and scope in Southern Utah.

The Women’s Open was started by this committee in 2024. Washington County has 14+ golf courses and is a golf destination. The reality is that only 25% of all golfers are women. Business relationships are forged on the golf course, and we are creating opportunities for women to participate.

Through our relationship with the Women’s Leadership Institute, we offer remote training opportunities here at the Chamber.
