Chamber Serves Committee

Vision

We envision a Chamber where service is part of our culture; where businesses uplift local organizations, volunteers feel supported, and community partnerships thrive to create a stronger, more prosperous St. George.

Core Beliefs

  • Service Builds Connection: Service brings us together across backgrounds and industries.
  • Thriving Community = Thriving Business: A safe, successful community benefits people and businesses alike.
  • Character Through Compassion: How we treat our most vulnerable reflects who we are.
  • Shared Responsibility: When we humanize and serve one another, we look out for each other’s success, safety, and well-being.

Values

The committee supports Chamber goals by strengthening community prosperity, deepening member engagement, expanding meaningful connections, elevating the local economy, and identifying community needs through nonprofit partnerships.

Guiding Principles

  • Partnership Over Reinvention: Support existing nonprofits rather than creating new programs.
  • Organization & Clarity: Plan ahead and communicate clearly.
  • Time or Treasure: Provide options to volunteer or give financially/in-kind.
  • Accessible for All: Make service easy for businesses of all sizes to participate.
  • Quarterly Service Rhythm: Offer at least one organized service opportunity each quarter.
  • Impact Over Volume: Measure success by meaningful outcomes, not the number of events.
