ST. GEORGE, Utah — Sharing lessons learned from her journey of going from a part-time content writer to a serving as the CEO of a national company, ApplicantPro CEO Heidi Barnett will be the featured speaker in the fall installment of Utah Tech University’s Elkington Founder Speaker Series.
Barnett will present “Why Not Me: Pursue Your Dreams in the World of Business” at noon on Oct. 3 in the Zion Room, located on the fifth floor of the Holland Centennial Commons on the Utah Tech campus. Pizza will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. The event is free to the community and all are invited to attend.
Barnett has overcome obstacles, learned how to pivot and experienced personal growth going from a 10-hour-a-week content writer to CEO of ApplicantPro, a HR tech company founded in 2006 that now services more than 10,000 customers nationwide. ApplicantPro has been named one of Inc 5000’s fastest growing companies 11 years in a row.
Additionally, Barnett is a champion of women in the workforce and has coached and mentored many women inside and outside of ApplicantPro into positions of leadership. This culture of coaching, connection and inclusivity has earned ApplicantPro a place in Utah’s Top Workplaces for three consecutive years.
