ST. GEORGE — Runners, art lovers and festival-goers — mark your calendars. The Art Attack 1 Mile & 5K is set to return to the heart of Downtown St. George on April 19, offering a vibrant and energetic component to the beloved St. George Art Festival.
“This short race is a great way to add fitness to the creative vibe that permeates Historic Town Square,” said Aaron Metler, Recreation Manager for Races and Special Events for the City of St. George. “What’s even better — and makes this race unique — is that among the prizes we will be giving away is actual art.”
Perfect for runners of all ages and abilities, participants can choose between a 5K or a 1 Mile Fun Run, both beginning at 9 a.m. from the Town Square Splash Pad. The race winds through the streets of downtown, surrounded by the energy and color of the Art Festival already in full swing.
Following the run, you can stick around to admire the creativity of hundreds of artists showcasing their work just steps from the finish line. It’s a full day of fitness, fun and the finest art in the heart of St. George.
