SUNDAY, AUGUST 9 – 7:00 P.M.“WHY I BELIEVE FIRESIDE” is hosted by the Utah St. George Mission with President and Sister Thorderson. This evening of inspiring music and spoken word is open to the public. Italian converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, Alberto Alinari and Tommaso Cardullo will share their stories. Musical numbers by the Mohlman Family Singers and Elder Christian Jensen on the piano.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 – 7:00 P.M. “SOUTHERN UTAH YOUTH STRINGS”Southern Utah String Players (violin, viola, cello), ranging in age from 6-16 from throughout the region, gather together to perform standard repertoire including Beethoven, Bach, and Vivaldi in an annual celebration of musical progress. Accompanying these musicians will be pianist Rachel France, graduate of BYU School of Music and concert master of the Southwest Symphony.
