ST. GEORGE — Break out your lawn chairs and prepare to be captivated by the invigorating sounds emanating from the Concert in the Park series at Vernon Worthen Park (300 South 400 East). The season kicks off April 8 at 7:30 p.m. with local blues favorite Electric Witness, the first of six shows in 2024.
“We invite the whole community to come out and unwind while enjoying these very talented musicians,” said Peyton Lee, Community Arts Manager for the City of St. George. “Electric Witness will be a great band to begin the new season. As you will see, each concert offers a distinct vibe. That variety keeps our community coming back month after month.”
On the second Monday of each month from April through September, Vernon Worthen Park is transformed into a music lover’s paradise. This year’s performances feature a wide range of genres, including blues, rock, reggae, country and pop.
The 2024 season lineup includes entertainment from the following:
● April 8: Electric Witness (Blues)
● May 13: Chase Walker Band (Rock/Blues)
● June 10: Haleamano (Reggae)
● July 8: Presley Tennant (Country)
● Aug. 12: Celebration (Variety Party Pop)
● Sept. 9: Gina Marie Osmond Band (covering the top classic hits)
Electric Witness is prepared to set a rousing tone.
Known for its raw vocals, solid guitar styling and stirring harmonica, the music of Electric Witness reflects on life while embracing the emotive melodies, soulful rhythms and themes of resilience. A Las Vegas Blues Society member, founder Dick Earl is a Santa Clara resident who shares his passionate love for blues as the frontman of Electric Witness. The band’s performances have garnered numerous awards and accolades, including third place at the 2023 International Blues Challenge.
Electric Witness was also featured in the documentary “Into the Fire,” which premiered at DOCUTAH in 2022 and won Best Feature at Zepstone Film Festival (2023).
“Electric Witness is the perfect band to get us started,” Lee added. “Their high-energy performances, a fusion of rock, blues, and funk, plus their ability to engage audiences of all ages, is sure to get your blood pumping.”

Concert in the Park takes place the second Monday of each month from April through September at 7:30 p.m. at Vernon Worthen Park. It is free to the public and sponsored by the City of St. George with funding from the City of St. George RAP Tax, the Utah Division of Arts and Museums and the National Endowment for the Arts.
