St. George, UT — April 13, 2026 — Dixie Technical College invites the community to explore career opportunities at its annual “Get the Scoop” open house on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at 610 S Tech Ridge Dr. This free event welcomes prospective students, career changers, and community members interested in exploring hands-on career training.
Fun hands-on activities will be provided across campus, including:
- 3D printing demonstrations
- Virtual reality welding competitions
- Firefighter demonstrations
- Licorice DNA and Blood Typing
- Minecraft Mods and VR experiences
- Diesel big rig touch and feel
Experienced instructors will be available to answer questions, demonstrate equipment, and discuss career pathways. The event includes free ice cream, campus lab exploration, and complimentary T-shirts while supplies last.
Dixie Tech offers over 25 industry-driven programs in manufacturing, medical, construction, transportation, culinary, and computer technologies. Programs provide hands-on training that prepares students for immediate employment in fulfilling in-demand careers throughout Southern Utah.
