ST. GEORGE — City of St. George employees will once again display their wide array of artistic abilities in the second-annual City Art Show, slated for an August 12-22 run at the Red Cliff Gallery.
Featuring creations in multiple mediums — such as paintings, leatherworks, jewelry, pottery and more — the show will highlight the considerable talents of those who keep City properties and services humming.
“When members of our community interact with our firefighters, maintenance crews, landscapers, police officers and other City employees, those connections are usually fairly brief,” noted Michelle Graves, Assistant Parks and Community Services Director for the City of St. George. “What those community members may not realize is that many of our staffers are brimming with all kinds of creative talent. We’re always delighted to display artistic works from community members at the Red Cliff Gallery, so an exhibition showcasing our employees’ creations will be extra special.”
The Red Cliff Gallery is located in the City Commons Building at 220 N 200 E. An opening night reception will be held August 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; refreshments will be served while supplies last. The Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
