ST. GEORGE — With winter in the rearview mirror, the 2025 free Concert in the Park season gets underway in the City of St. George on April 14, with the return of the popular rock band Closure. Closure last took the stage in Vernon Worthen Park in August of 2023 and makes frequent appearances in St. George, packing the house at Blues Katz Rock n Roll Grill and events such as HoodFest 2024 at Dixie Technical College.
“Playing danceable covers of beloved favorites from the 1970s, ‘80s and beyond, Closure is sure to kick off the season in style,” said Peyton Lee, Community Arts Manager. “There’s nothing more fun than seeing the community come together for an evening concert. This year’s lineup promises to be the best ever, so we look forward to seeing everyone join us each month for this outstanding event.”
Now in its 21st year, Concert in the Park takes place on the second Monday of each month, from April through September. As always, this year’s edition will feature an array of musical genres, including blues, rock, ‘90s dance hits, country and even a tribute to the Grateful Dead.
Capping off the run will be a special performance September 26, when the Utah Tech University Orchestra will present a Summer POPS Concert in Historic Town Square.
Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. at Vernon Worthen Park (300 S 400 E in St. George). Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic supplies as desired. For the full concert schedule, go here.
