Myers promoted from previous position as Budget and Financial Planning Director

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The St. George City Council appointed Robert Myers to serve as the new Assistant City Manager March 6 during the regular City Council meeting, March 6, 2025. Myers had been the City’s Budget and Financial Planning Director since September 2021.
“Robert is experienced, well-respected and has all the attributes needed to be successful in this new position,” said St. George Mayor Michele Randall. “He communicates well with the City Council as well as with his fellow department heads, and is a capable leader. I am completely confident that Robert will do an excellent job in his new role.”
Myers has presided over the strategic development, management and execution of the city’s operating and capital budget as well as providing high-level financial leadership and support. He established a structured goal-setting process which led to the creation of the City’s first ever Council goals, priorities and detailed business plan ensuring alignment between budget decisions and the Council’s vision for the community.
“Since he joined our City leadership team in 2021, Robert has demonstrated that he is an ultimate team player — someone who doesn’t care where the credit goes, only that the problem gets solved,” said St. George City Manager John Willis. “His success in heading up the budget team shows that he understands that transparency and accountability are hallmarks of municipal government. I look forward to working even closer with him in his new role.”
Before arriving in St. George, Myers was the Budget Director of North Richland Hills, Texas. He also served in several roles for the City of Grand Prairie, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas.
