ST. GEORGE — The City of St. George is kicking off the summer with a splash-worthy event — the City Pool 50th Anniversary Celebration. To mark this golden anniversary, the City is hosting a family-friendly celebration with free admission to the City Pool and complimentary hot dogs May 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“Reaching 50 years is something to be proud of,” said Mayor Michele Randall. “This pool has been part of generations of summer stories and I have many great memories of my own. We are excited to host this anniversary event for everyone who has ever called the City Pool their favorite summer hangout.”

The 50th anniversary of the City Pool also coincides with the unveiling of a newly replaced pool deck, bolstered sound system and improved access, symbolizing a fresh chapter for this cherished community facility.

“For five decades, the City Pool has been a hub of summertime joy, swim lessons, cannonball contests and sun-soaked afternoons,” said Shane Moore, Director of Parks and Community Services for the City of St. George. “Now, we honor its past and look forward to its future. It promises an evening full of nostalgia, laughter and summer fun.”

Admission to the pool is subject to capacity limitations and refreshments will be available while supplies last.
