St. George Races to host a 24.5 mile, off-road biking adventure during Roxsand Gravel Bike Race, March 8!

ST. GEORGE, Utah – An exhilarating off-road adventure for gravel bike riders awaits amid the breathtaking Gunlock Reservoir during the second annual Roxsand Gravel Bike Race, March 8 at 9 a.m. St. George Races’ only gravel bike race, Roxsand Gravel will test your ability to navigate the dirt trails while enjoying picturesque scenery.

“This is a thrilling experience for all types of riders,” said Aaron Metler, Recreation Manager for Races and Events at the City of St. George. “It’s a one-of-a-kind race that will feature both an e-bike division and a regular bike division, allowing a wider range of cyclists to join.”

Beginning at the beautiful Gunlock State Park, riders will head south down Gunlock Road to the Motoqua trails that wind behind the reservoir. The terrain and challenging elevation of these trails provide a perfect opportunity for cyclists to test their abilities while taking in the views of the desert landscape. Register here.

As with any cycling event, Roxsand Gravel isn’t just about the race — it’s about camaraderie, competition and pushing one’s limits. It serves as an opportunity for the community to come together and embrace the spirit of adventure.

“You’ll never forget the memories you make during the ride,” Metler said. “Everyone’s support for each other adds to the experience, and you finish not just with a sense of accomplishment, but also with new friendships and shared memories.”

Packet Pickup will be available starting two hours before the race at 7 a.m. at Gunlock State Park.
