Washington County, UT — Tech Ridge is proud to announce the installation of a striking multi-story America 250 sign, prominently displayed on the side of stacked shipping containers atop Tech Ridge. This installation commemorates the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States as part of the nationwide celebration.
The America 250 project, marking the Semiquincentennial of the United States, honors 250 years of American history, freedom, and achievement. Tech Ridge’s installation joins other local contributions to this milestone, aiming to inspire civic pride across the region. Efforts have been coordinated across Washington County and the State of Utah.
“We’re proud to invest in the installation of the America 250 sign,” said Isaac Barlow, Managing Partner of Tech Ridge. “This project allows us to take part in our country’s historic celebration, honoring 250 years of American spirit, innovation, and resilience. We believe it’s important to visibly support this once-in-a-generation moment and inspire pride in our community.”
County officials joined Tech Ridge in applauding the project’s significance. County Commissioner Gil Almquist remarked, “We will never ignore the value of our history that made America the hallmark of freedom and prosperity for all. This recognition in Washington County demonstrates our commitment to the very history that makes America great! 1776 is as real for us today as it was for those who fought for our country and freedom 250 years ago.”
“As the nation prepares for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in July 2026, America250 Utah will commemorate the anniversary with wide-ranging activities, including service opportunities, civics education, touring exhibits, and community gatherings,” said America250 Utah’s Chris Abbott. “We invite all communities in our great state to partner in recognizing this momentous occasion.”
