The Aquabats to perform as headliner band at St. George Art Festival; set to bring energetic rock and good vibes, April 3

ST. GEORGE — The Aquabats, acclaimed as the world’s greatest superhero punk rock band, will perform as the headliner band April 3 at 7 p.m. at the St. George Art Festival. The concert is free and open to everyone.

“For us to be able to get The Aquabats to play at the St. George Art Festival is big news,” said Peyton Lee, Community Arts Manager. “A popular band for three decades, The Aquabats are sure to entertain and delight. Mark April 3 on your calendar and make plans to join us for this fun concert.”

This year’s St. George Art Festival is expected to include approximately 200 acclaimed artists with wares such as paintings, jewelry, ceramics, sculptures and more. There will be approximately 25 food vendors with a variety of culinary dishes to try, three live stages and a fun run.

In 2022, the festival started hosting headliner bands on the evening of the first night of the festival. The Aquabats may be its best known yet.

Hailing from Orange County, The Aquabats originated in 1994. Their vision was one of harmless fun in an industry that was too serious; incorporating Paul Frank-inspired attire consisting of rash guards, black eye masks and “anti-negativity” helmets.

In 2012 these superhero inspired punk rock artists debuted two seasons of their musical action comedy special “The Aquabats! Super Show!” showcasing their versatility and concept of fun and whimsy. They went on to receive multiple Emmy nominations and won a Daytime Emmy award in 2014.
