ST. GEORGE — When the St. George Art Festival closes each day on April 18 and 19, the celebration will continue, with a pair of live, free concerts. On April 18 at 7 p.m., the Greater Zion Main Stage will come alive with the ultimate “Yachtical Tribute band,” Yachty by Nature. Then, after the Art Festival closes at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, The Greeting Committee will take over the Greater Zion Main Stage.

“Since 1980, the St. George Art Festival has showcased the country’s finest artists,” said Peyton Lee, City of St. George Community Arts Manager. “The 2025 edition will be no different, with nearly 200 artists exhibiting their paintings, photography, sculptures, textiles and other works of art. As always, the performing arts are also an integral part of the Festival. We’re excited to present two outstanding bands for our residents and visitors to enjoy, free of charge. With beautiful spring weather on tap, we hope everyone will come out and share in this time-honored tradition.”

Playing the smoothest soft-yacht rock tunes from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, Yachty by Nature will showcase hits from such artists as Michael McDonald, Hall and Oates, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Toto, Christopher Cross, and many others. This Southern California ensemble features vocals by Scotty McYachty and Julie McCoy, guitar work by Captain Carl, Wes Coast and Big Wave Dave, plus Pacific Rim on sax and flute.

“Yachty by Nature is sure to have the audience on Tabernacle Street up and dancing from the very first note,” Lee added. “Tabernacle Street will be the place to be at 7 p.m. on April 18th.”

Hailing from Overland Park, Kansas, the American indie rock band The Greeting Committee first came to national attention with its 2015 hit, “Hands Down.” Since then the band has toured extensively from coast to coast, headlining music festivals and club dates. The band’s most recent hit, “Everyone’s Gone and I Know I’m the Cause,” was included on their 2024 album of the same name, which also featured the top-rated “Where’d All My Friends Go?”
