Western Pest Control Celebrates 25 Years of Protecting Southern Utah

From a 1991 Isuzu Pickup to 3,000+ Five-Star Reviews — How One Family Built Southern Utah’s Most Trusted Pest Control Company

ST. GEORGE, Utah — April 1, 2026

In the spring of 2001, the same week Wade and Sheri Beatty welcomed their first son into the world, they launched a company. Wade had just graduated from college. Sheri had just finished her degree. Both quit their jobs the same week. Operating out of their apartment, Sheri managed the books while Wade drove a 1991 Isuzu pickup, determined to do something simple: protect their neighbors’ homes and take care of their community.

Twenty-five years later, that mission hasn’t changed. The trucks have.

This April, Western Pest Control marks a quarter century of serving Southern Utah with a month-long customer appreciation celebration honoring the families, businesses, and neighbors who have made Western what it is today. It’s a moment to say thank you and to recommit to the values that have defined every service call since day one.

Built the Old-Fashioned Way

Western didn’t grow by acquiring other companies or franchising a national brand. It grew by being better, showing up faster, and caring more. Over 25 years, that approach has produced a company with average annual growth of 20 to 22 percent, a 97 percent customer retention rate, and more than 3,000 five-star reviews. Customers regularly request the same technician by name, year after year.

Those technicians are the heartbeat of Western. They’re clean-cut, on time, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in the people they serve. In a business where customers are bombarded by door-to-door competitors promising a better deal, Western’s most loyal customers aren’t just staying — they’re advocating. Here’s what a few of them had to say recently:

Faye Watkins, a long-time customer in Hurricane, put it simply: “We love Adam. He is always prompt, professional, polite, and has such a winning personality. We will never consider another pest control service. We are lifers.”

Janet Haines of Cedar City has trusted Western for 15 years: “Silver Beatty is an exceptional technician — knowledgeable, courteous, efficient and kind. The staff scheduling us is also great. She accommodates our timing needs and is very helpful.”

And Sam Talbot in St. George has been a customer for nearly a decade: “We’ve been using Western Pest Control for at least nine years and proudly turn away every door-to-door agency. Scott was friendly and professional and resolved my concerns about our dogs being out while we weren’t home.”

“Here, For Good” — What Those Three Words Really Mean

Western’s tagline carries a double meaning Wade Beatty chose deliberately. “Here, For Good” means the company is permanently rooted in Southern Utah — not a national brand with a local branch, but a company whose owner lives here, whose technicians’ children go to school here, and whose future is entirely bound up with this community. It also means something harder to measure: that Western is here to do good.

Wade has served on the Leadership Dixie Board of Directors, including as Board Chair in 2013 and 2014, as well as the Hurricane Valley Rotary Club Board and the Utah Pest Control Association Board of Directors. He has taught business classes at Utah Tech University and earned the Boy Scouts of America District Award of Merit for sustained volunteer service.

That same spirit lives in the company’s charitable giving, support for local food banks, and participation in neighborhood clean-ups. Western’s April celebration will include community volunteer events alongside customer appreciation activities.

“I look for opportunities to improve the community and the world through service, giving, and teaching.” — Wade Beatty, Founder and Owner

A Standard Most Companies Won’t Touch

Western holds QualityPro Certification, the pest management industry’s highest honor for ethics, training, and customer care. It is also GreenPro Certified, meaning every service meets Integrated Pest Management standards designed to protect families, pets, and the environment. The company carries BBB Accreditation with an A+ rating and Termidor Accredited status for termite treatment excellence.

All technicians are state-certified and committed to one standard: if pests return, Western returns — free of charge, every time. The company also backs a five-hour response commitment for urgent situations, because finding a scorpion in your bathroom isn’t a problem that can wait until next week.

April 2026: Customer Appreciation Month

Throughout April, Western Pest Control will celebrate 25 years with community events, customer spotlights, giveaways, service specials, and charitable activities across Washington County. Every customer who has trusted Western with their home is part of this story.
